Rimworld medicine deterioration11/13/2023 ![]() I only ever use medicine to treat diseases, and even then sometimes with infections (easily the most common disease) you can successfully treat somebody without medicine if you have a good doctor, the patient is always resting in bed, the room the person is being treated in is clean, and you're not super unlucky. You're actually fine not using medicine on most wounds like gunshots, cuts, etc. However, you don't actually need that much medicine in general since you don't need to use medicine for much. However, to answer your original question about medicine, producing herbal medicine is fine, however you will need skilled farmers to make it. Wake-Up will has a chance to cause a heart attack, which are very hard to deal with, and it may (may as in I'm not sure because I don't use Wake-Up) cause chemical damage over time. Kidneys are fine to deal with, but fixing brain damage is very hard. Smokeleaf will give asthma and cancer, beer will destroy people's livers and therefore their resistance to diseases, and most hard drugs like Flake or Yayo will give chemical damage on either the brain or the kidneys. Side note: if you want to sell drugs rather than use them, Flake is better to sell than Yayo, since even though Yayo sells for more than Flake, Flake is worth more silver per leaf used to make it, meaning your farmers do less work to make more money.Ģ) Over time, addictions will cause damage/give various diseases to pawns. Additionally, it gives a massive +35 mood while somebody is high on it, effectively making them immune to mental breaks. Of those three, the best is psychite, since Yayo is a great drug to take before combat, giving a +15% move speed(you will come to learn that move speed is easily just as important during combat as someone's actual fighting skills) and halving the pain the person is in, meaning they can fight longer. Additionally, I don't like smokeleaf because it massively decreases work efficiency and makes your pawns consume more food. However, 2 out of those three (alcohol and psychite) need research to be manufactured, and the third, smokeleaf, needs research to be made at normal speed(it can be crafted at a crafting spot for a massive speed malus, but it can be produced at a normal speed at the drug lab, which is unlocked by the drug production tech). Personally the only 3 addictions that aren't completely awful to support are smokeleaf addictions, psychite addictions, and alcohol addictions, because all of these drugs can be crafted by the player without buying ingredients from traders. Neutroamine can not be manufactured by the player, it has to be bought or looted, meaning that no matter what you have to rely on buying either the drug itself or the neutroamine required to make it, and prices in RimWorld are always working MASSIVELY against you. The mod was created by Garwel and is distributed under MIT License.1) Addictions are very expensive and time consuming to maintain, especially if it's to a drug like Go-Juice or Wake-Up that needs neutroamine to be manufactured. Source code, dev builds and bug reports go here: Wastepacks and other such items emit toxic gas and pollute terrain when destroyed (no cheating!)īe careful with silver, steel, plasteel and other such resources: they have no HP in RimWorld and are destroyed immediately. Most pawns will despise destruction of humanlike corpses (although slightly less so than butchering them) and human embryos Multiple pawns (adjustable in the settings, 2 by default) may destroy the same item simultaneously to make it faster No resources are given back, but there is also no filth. Destruction is done by pawns assigned to hauling and usually takes some time, depending on the item's HP, pawn's melee DPS and general labor speed Or just press the relevant key (`X` by default). Designate one or multiple items for destruction with Architect > Order > Destroy Item tool. Destroy any sort of item: apparel, weapons, resources, corpses etc. This mod will let you easily destroy unwanted items, and do it in a (more or less) balanced way. Are you sick of having to deal with lots of unneeded items, such as tainted clothes and obsolete weapons? Has your warehouse turned into a junkyard? Are you tired of setting up fires and deterioration dumping grounds?
